September 30th, is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. This day honours the children who never returned home and the survivors of residential schools as well as their families and communities.

This day also opens the door to a global conversation on all aspects of Residential Schools. It is an opportunity to create a meaningful discussion about the effects of Residential Schools and the legacy they have left behind. A discussion all Canadians can tune into and create bridges with each other for reconciliation. A day for survivors to be reaffirmed that they matter, and so do those that have been affected.

By wearing an Orange Shirt, we honour the thousands of survivors of residential schools and commit to the enduring truth that EVERY CHILD MATTERS, every day and everywhere.
